Long term locals, Holly and Julian bought Gins a few years back. The main farmhouse (with white windows in the pictures) has since been changed around and they’ve recently completed a total renovation on the barns which had been burnt to the ground.
Their taste and style is exemplary and its very exciting for us to be able to help them welcome visitors to Gins.
Many will recognise the Julian Chichester name from his flagship store on the Londons’ Fulham road. Less will know that he has collaborated with hoteliers across the world, the list is too long for here but you’ll get the picture with my overview; Babington House, Soho House, Hotel du Vin, and (local and lovely) hotel design mavern Kit Kemp (hotels such as Haymarket, Charlotte Street, No 16…), Astoria House in St Petersburg, Soho Beach House, Miami.
When not being international and fabulous, Julian is most likely to be found blending into the families escapist New Forest river life. Perhaps on the wild and woolly nature reserve to the front of Gins Farmhouse stalking a new avian visitor with his binoculars or scuttling on his boat with faithful labrador, Percy, in tow. Perhaps scuttling on boats in preparation for chasing cod out on the Solent.
Holly is a partner in Short Films. A London-based production company producing creative & dynamic commercials. Holly specialises in beauty commercials and travels all over more often than she’d like. She loves nothing more than getting home, getting her scuffy old Blundstone boots on and rolling her sleeves up in the kitchen. Holly has been the driver of this particular project at Gins and her energy, style and joi de vivre is clear throughout the farm.
Holly and Julian have three teenage children and live between Gins and West London and their projects overseas.
The bookings for Gins is managed by New Forest Escapes. There’s plenty more about us if you link here.
